At This Ole Dog Rescue, our mission is to provide a loving and safe haven for senior and hospice dogs in need. We believe that every dog deserves a chance to live their golden years in comfort and joy.
We are on a heartfelt mission with two main objectives. Firstly, we are here to provide a final, loving home to end of life senior and hospice dogs who have been abandoned, surrendered by their families, or left after the death of their loved ones. Our commitment includes offering them a soft bed, a warm home, good nutrition, essential medical care, and, most importantly, an abundance of love and affection.

Belinda is the heart behind This Ole Dog Rescue. After dedicating 30 years to real estate, Belinda's life took a transformative turn in 2019 when she provided round-the-clock care for her mother, who was battling dementia. This experience ignited a deep commitment to kindness and caring for others. After her mother's passing in April 2021, Belinda's reflection led her to embark on a new journey – one devoted to rescuing end of life senior and hospice dogs. This parallel journey of care giving, from her mother's side to the loving embrace of senior dogs, embodies the spirit of empathy and devotion that defines This Ole Dog Rescue.
This Ole Dog Rescue is a Texas-based sanctuary born from Belinda's heartfelt mission. Inspired by her beloved dog Santiago, who was thrown in the ocean to die, rescued by a fisherman who found him trying to keep his head above water and then set to be euthanized by the humane society, Belinda's dedication to senior dog rescue, education, and advocacy came to life. Our sanctuary is a haven for senior dogs, offering them love, comfort, nutrition, and medical care.
